Shocking Revelation: Fast & Furious 9 Filmmakers Slapped with $1M Fine After Stunt Disaster Leaves Star Stuntman’s Life in Limbo! Uncover the Jaw-Dropping Details Now!

Incurring a substantial £800,000 penalty ($1 million), the creators of ‘Fast & Furious 9’ find themselves in fiscal retribution after a stuntman endured cerebral trauma in a mishap on set.

The unfortunate Joe Watts, confronted with a fractured cranium, descended a formidable eight meters onto unyielding concrete, his head bearing the brunt of the impact. This incident unfolded amidst the filming of ‘Fast & Furious 9: The Fast Saga’ at Warner Bros’ studios in Hertfordshire, UK, back in July 2019.

According to the BBC, the presiding judge deemed Watts “fortunate to be among the living.” Revelations in court indicated that his safety tether became disengaged during a stunt that underwent impromptu alterations in the course of filming. The court further learned that the safety line underwent no scrutiny between takes. District Judge Talwinder Buttar, presiding over the matter at Luton Magistrates Court, censured the last-minute modification of the stunt and pointedly remarked on the necessity of adjusting the protective matting beneath.

The prosecution, spearheaded by the Health and Safety Executive, characterized Watts’ injuries as “life-altering,” emphasizing that in the realm of stunt work, the focus lies not merely on averting a fall but rather on mitigating the perils of injury.

FF9 Pictures, under the scrutiny of the legal lens, acknowledged lapses in health and safety protocols during proceedings on a Friday in court and acquiesced to the imposed financial penalty.

Preceding the unfortunate incident, Watts, as per BBC reports, had amassed an impressive portfolio, contributing to esteemed productions such as Game of Thrones, Johnny English Strikes Again, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

‘Fast & Furious 9,’ featuring the ensemble cast of Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, John Cena, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, Kurt Russell, and Charlize Theron, materialized with a production budget ranging from $200 million to $225 million. Upon its 2021 release, it garnered a substantial $726.5 million at the global box office.
