“Eminem’s Shocking Demand to Vivek Ramaswamy: Stop Rapping Hit Song During Campaign!”

Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican running for president in 2024, was warned by Eminem not to get caught up in his music while campaigning. The GOP candidate received a warning from BMI, the musician’s license holder, to stop rapping the song’s lyrics while running for president.

The former biotech entrepreneur received a cease-and-desist letter from BMI and the rapper’s management on August 23 after performing “Lose Yourself” at the Iowa State Fair in August. It was noted in the letter that “BMI has received communication from Marshall B. Mathers, III, professionally known as Eminem, objecting to the use of Eminem’s musical compositions by the Vivek Ramaswamy campaign.”

In the letter, it was stated that “BMI will consider any performance of the Eminem Works by the Vivek 2024 campaign from this date forward to be a material breach of the Agreement for which BMI reserves all rights and remedies with respect thereto.”

The REAL Slim Shady, would you kindly stand up? He didn’t merely say what I assumed, did he? said Ramaswamy.

In response to Eminem’s request, Ramaswamy supporters posted videos of the candidate rapping. “I think we can all appreciate Eminem’s efforts to help get Vivek to stop rapping on the campaign trail,” former Trump lawyer Jenna Ellis joked on social media.
The Republican candidate for president was a rap performer while an undergraduate at Harvard University before becoming a successful biotech entrepreneur. He went by the alias “Da Vek.” Before Ramaswamy enrolled at Harvard in 2003, the song “Lose Yourself” was released.
